Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 July 2026

1. Who we are

Budgetto ("the Service") is operated by [Your legal name or company], [Street, postcode, city, Denmark]. You can reach us at support@budgetto.app. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

2. The Service

Budgetto is a personal budgeting tool. It lets you record expected income and expenses per month and projects a running bank balance forward. It is a planning and record-keeping tool only.

3. Not financial advice

Budgetto does not provide financial, tax, investment or legal advice. All figures shown — including forecasts, inflation adjustments and projected balances — are calculations based solely on data you enter. They are estimates, not predictions, and may be wrong. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and for verifying any figure against your actual bank statements.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

5. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through our payment processor, Stripe. Where a free trial is offered, your subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.

Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.

We do not receive or store your card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

6. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. By starting to use the Service immediately, you request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

7. Refunds

Outside the withdrawal right above, payments are generally non-refundable, including for partial periods. If something has clearly gone wrong, contact us — we will deal with it reasonably.

8. Sharing budgets

You may invite other people to a budget you own. By inviting someone, you authorise us to give them access to that budget's contents at the access level you choose, and you confirm you are entitled to share that information. The budget owner controls access and may revoke it at any time. Access to a shared budget depends on the owner maintaining an active subscription.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service unlawfully, attempt to break or probe its security, disrupt it for others, scrape or overload it, resell it, or upload content you have no right to. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or financial decisions taken on the basis of figures in the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us during that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Your data

You keep ownership of the data you enter. We process it as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your budgets at any time; deleting your account removes your data as described there.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and disputes fall under the courts of Denmark. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, and may use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
